As many of our blog followers know, the Wayward Wanderers went to Vegas over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend to get married. One of our followers was kind enough to send us a wedding gift, which came in quite handy during the trip.
Atitlan Leather sent us a lovely small messenger bag and carryall. Their products are handmade by Mayans using traditional methods. The messenger bag is gorgeous and strong; unlike anything I’d be able to buy here.
The durable, quality full grain leather stood up well to travel, including canceled flights on both outbound and return trips and several hours hanging around on standby. It seems pretty indestructible, which is great since as you all know, we wander and travel a lot.
I’m not much of a pocketbook person. I tend to use my pockets quite liberally though. Despite that, I’m a huge fan of the messenger bag. It’s got loads of pockets so I could easily find my cell phone and secure items I wanted easy access to. You can see in the pictures, there’s a perfect cell phone pocket in front and a zipper pocket on the back. I used this to keep items safe while exploring the strip.
The spacious inside left room for a battery charger, tissues, and various and sundry things. Keeping it all safe with style using belt buckles instead of zippers or hard to undo clasps.
While we surely would’ve had a great time in Vegas without it, the small messenger bag made it really easy to travel light while keeping items we might need close by without worrying about security.
